From an early age, Katharine was innately aware of her surroundings and the visual breadth of the world. Raised in the charming south, with summers spent exploring the city of Paris, Katharine grew up dreaming of classic romances such as Vivian Leigh and Lawrence Olivier. Her adolescence of creating costumes and sewing dresses evolved into a rich education in romantic literature and biographies of notable women and period films.

After arriving in California, Katharine opened an appointment only studio where she fine tuned her craft with a hands on approach to every step from draping and pattern to cutting and sewing every hand-made piece. In her California studio, Katharine fused her literary past with her passion for design.
